I am really happy with how this picture turned out. At the start the picture was dull and didn't have many values to it. When I put it in black and white I turned up the contrast and I started to like the photo better. At that point I had it narrowed down to two photos and I actually liked one very similar to this one, but further away, better. After I edited them both in Photoshop and added the black background and some more shadows, I ended up liking the close up photo better. I'm really happy with how the photo turned out.

I like these photos because of the dark background and the level of contrast. For my final photo, I am going to try to turn the background black so the contrast seems even higher. These pictures are from summer, but I do not have anyone to take pictures of right now and I really like some of these pictures.
I like theses pictures because of the high contrast and the details shown in the face. Some of the photos have a dark background but I like them with or without it. It would be tricky to take it with a black background but I could try to edit it in Photoshop.
This picture was not the easiest photo to take due to the dog moving a lot. However, I believe this picture represents my dogs past as being a shelter dog and shows the emotions she has been through. The lighting was hard with the way she was laying, since the light was coming from behind her. I still think it turned out okay though. I used Photoshop to edit out some of her eye goobers. I also like how the photo shows some of her face, even with the focus being her eye.
I started photographing my Great Dane and my Great Pyr's but none of the photos came out well because their eyes are so dark. My German Shepherd Collie, is not the easiest dog to photograph because she is very interested in what you are doing and moves and tries to nose the camera, so I knew this was going to be a tricky task. When I started to photograph her (image on far right) she didn't seem to mind. I put the image in black and white, but for my final, I'm going to put the photo in color. These practice photos allowed me to realize that I had to use a dog with lighter colored eyes.
I like these pictures because of the emotion it shows but also because you can still see some of the dogs face, it isn't just an eye, it has context. All of the colors are vivid and I also like the black and white. I think the two different colored eye husky is really neat, but unfortunately none of my dogs have different colored eyes.
I really love these photos because of the depth of field and color variety in the photos. I also believe the lighting is really strong which helps the photos pops. To take the photos on the far left and far right, I put them in a clear container to make it easier to photograph and still allow light in without a weird color tint or something. I love the Christmas theme it gives off but also the two different types of repetition it shows. The center photo shows the typical alternating repetition while the two photos on the ends have a random and closer repetition. I am very pleased with how the photos turned out
I tried a bunch of different angles and amounts of food and types of food. However, I think there needs to be more detail in these photos. The colors in the cookie photo are bland and the skittles don't have much shape or excitement to them. I am going to try to add more detail to my final photos.
These pictures all have so much detail shown and I love how they are all a little different. I like the rainbow colors in the fruit picture but I also like how it is all of the same color in the second to right photo. There are so many different things that can be done with food repetition.
I like this photo because of the detail and many things drawing you into the eye like the mane. The photo wasn't as easy to take because horses don't stay still for very long. However, I did not like the photo in black and white because it was too boring and I like the color in the top left on the bridle. Another hard part about taking this picture was that the lighting couldn't be right on the horse or else he would blink and almost squint. So the lighting was kind of tricky as was the subject moving. However, with the conditions I am pleased with how the photo turned out.
